ConFirm Monitoring’s Tablets Containing SDC Inhibit Growth of Microbial Contamination in Waterlines

SAN DIEGO, Calif., April 14, 2009 – PURE Bioscience (NASDAQ: PURE), creators of the patented silver dihydrogen citrate (SDC) antimicrobial, today announced that ConFirm Monitoring, Inc., its first licensed distributor of SDC in tablet form, is expanding its marketing and sales activities.  Its first product, BluTab®, was developed for use in dental offices to purify dental unit waterlines.  ConFirm Monitoring is now beginning to expand beyond this modest market into other devices and appliance applications in which a need exists to inhibit the growth of microbes in waterlines or to clean contaminated waterlines.

Blu Tab®: Effective Waterline Maintenance

BluTab is specially formulated to be continuously present in dental office water lines to keep lines clean. The odorless and tasteless effervescing tablet is conveniently added to a self contained water bottle each time it is refilled - eliminating the weekly need for shock treatments and daily water line purging.  Each tablet contains a low concentration of active ingredients that maintain the system and remain effective for up to 28 days, thereby eliminating the labor and costs associated with weekly "shock" treatments.
